The Terengganu government will announce a special incentive soon for students who scored 5As in this year’s Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR).
Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said Terengganu had maintained its excellent record in the examination and topped in all three categories this year, which were the overall achievement, national grade average (GPN), and minimum C.
“Just wait for Terengganu’s 2015 budget which will be tabled and debated on from Dec 8 to 11, and one of the announcements to be made will be related to the 2014 UPSR results,” he said after officiating at a circumcision event at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sura, here, today.
This year, 2,563 candidates or 12.10 per cent out of the 21,099 who sat for the UPSR in 377 schools in Terengganu scored all As.
Terengganu has had an excellent achievement streak in the UPSR since 2001.
